and a skull at its side

and the click of its teeth
echoed deep, into me

with hollow teeth and dark eyes
rest his paw on the skull
as he spoke to me

he told me to steal a car
and drive to the library
and burn every book i see
drive the car to the house
of a girl that i knew before
and knock on her front door
he said i should go inside
and ask if i could use a knife
to cut off my right hand
and put it in her left hand
and tell her to keep it safe
and i would be back for it soon
walk around to her back yard
and dig a six foot hole
jump inside and close my eyes
and wait for it to snow
sit for seven weeks
frozen underground
wait until it's warm
climb out and go home

i looked at the dogs wet eyes
and asked what all of this could mean
and he just looked at me
and bared his yellow teeth
"dog! dog! please!
you sick sick beast!"

Cool news, the Moon Runners full length album is no longer pressurized waves of air floating aimlessly adrift in the ether. It has materialized, right, here on Earth, in the form of analogue information encoded in (on) magnetic tape in a large square box.

We are playing a show tonight at Ruth's House for her birthday.
